Our signature 7-day rifle hunt puts you deep into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness after free-ranging Rocky Mountain elk. You'll access the hunting area on horseback (12–15 mile ride in) and camp out of a comfortable canvas wall tent with a wood stove, cots, and camp cook. Hunts run during Montana's general rifle season (late October – late November) when bulls are grouped up and bugling has ended but pre-rut movement makes them more predictable. Average bull taken: 5x5 or better. Hunt price covers guide service, horses, camp, meals, and spike camp. Montana non-resident elk license purchased separately (~$900).
